Peloponnese
A castle-town taken out of a fairytale

Monemvasia, is a rock with sheer cliffs rising hundreds of meters from the sea and one of Greece’s most romantic destinations!
An impressive castle-town in the south-eastern Peloponnese Peninsula, carved on the slopes of the rock originally constructed in the Medieval Ages. The medieval village is enclosed within the walls, while outside the rock there is a modern village, mainland village of Gefyra just across the causeway.
